Mizuno Ami: Ami is viewed by many to be very studious which to some degree is true, but somebody has to be or else it would be a group of boy-crazy teens. Ami adds the much needed stability to balance the rash styles of the other senshi. Her book crazy ways have always seemed more like a run on joke rather than something to take literally. She is much shyer than her teammates and the best explaination I've heard is her lack of contact with men or people in general. She does learn to loosen up a bit by the end of the series and even becomes one of the first members of the Three Lights fanclub. In spite of popular belief, Ami does not just read, she has been known to swim, play basketball, fix cars, play chess and cook. In fact she is a very talented swimmer and has been seen racing Michiru a.k.a. Sailor Neptune. She is also a gifted chess player and was in a tournement against many other people, among them was the villain Beruche. Her dream is to be a doctor, but dropped the opportunity to study medicine abroad in favor of staying with the other senshi. Sailor Mercury: The most ridiculed of the senshi when it comes to attack if you don't count Sailor ChibiMoon. It was the Shabon Spray that did the most damage to her reputation. One could argue that dispite the fact that it's a cloud of bubbles the attack does come in handy, blinding enemies and all. She is also the senshi, not counting Sailor Moon, to have the most attacks. After a while her attacks start to work on two levels, offensive and defensive. In fact, Shine Aqua Illusion is tied with Sparkling Wide Pressure and beats Burning Mandara while Mercury Aqua Rhapsody ties with Deep Submerge and Submarine Reflection according to the attack charts found at Sailormoon CyberCity. Why I Like Sailor Mercury: Out of all the senshi I could relate to her the most, I think that's part of the reason the show was so popular, there is a wide range of characters. Everyone can choose who they most enjoy since there is such a variety to choose from. Personally, I enjoy intelligent characters who can be nice at the same time. Ami can be so sweet, always putting up with Usagi's laziness and never giving up on her. C'mon the blue hair, it's so cool, how could I not like her! Plus her attacks are not like the others, their very graceful as well as beautiful. Home
